A tour of the age friendly housing development at The Little Arbour, Templeogue village, Dublin 6. This development forms part of the programme for the provision of age friendly developments within South Dublin County Council’s administrative area. The scheme consists of ten apartments over two stories, on a restricted site to the rear of the Morgue Pub in Templeogue village. The new homes, benefit from a new landscaped courtyard, which is dedicated for the use of the new residents while visually enhancing the surrounding neighbourhood. The scheme also includes a new ‘community’ room facility within the courtyard.

Highly visible from the Templeogue Road, The form and materials of the scheme create an attractive addition to the landscape of the village, and also provide additional passive supervision and activation the road towards Riverside Cottages. The visit will go into some of the background to the scheme, and elaborate on its place in the village and its part in the overall programme being undertaken by South Dublin County Council.
