Located within the northern section of the former Harcourt Street railway station, Station Building 2 is now home to the Dublin offices of The Fidelis Partnership. Originally opened in 1859, Harcourt Street station served as the Dublin terminus for the railway line connecting the city to Bray and County Wicklow until its closure in 1958.

This tour focuses specifically on the carefully restored section of the historic station now occupied by The Fidelis Partnership, exploring how a protected Victorian transport structure has been adapted into a contemporary workplace while retaining many of its original architectural features. Visitors will experience the dramatic former platform space, historic steel roof trusses, stonework and preserved industrial character that reflect the building’s railway heritage.

Following the closure of the railway station, parts of the wider Harcourt Street complex evolved through several different uses, including some of Dublin’s best-known nightlife venues during the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries, attracting internationally recognised musicians, DJs and celebrities. Today, The Fidelis Partnership office represents a new chapter in the building’s long history, combining modern workspace design with the preservation of an important piece of Dublin’s architectural and social heritage.

Visitors can access the building through either the revolving entrance door or the wheelchair-accessible entrance at the ground floor reception. This is where the tour will begin with a health and safety briefing. Access between all floors will be provided via lift.

From reception, visitors will take the lift to the second floor, which contains the open-plan office space. This floor is fully accessible and flat throughout, with wheelchair-accessible toilet facilities available.

The tour will then continue via lift to the first floor which includes meeting rooms. The floor is also fully accessible and flat throughout, with wheelchair-accessible toilet facilities available

The office will be closed for normal business operations during the event and open exclusively for the tour, so the environment will be quieter than on a typical working day. Lighting throughout the building consists of standard office lighting.
