Tour Information +
Explore the architecture, history and changing landscape of 140 Pembroke Road and its surrounding streetscape over the past 130 years.
The tour traces Pembroke Road’s evolution from an elegant Victorian suburb in the late 19th century through Ireland’s social, political and economic transformation, to the vibrant commercial and international district it is today. Historic images and the building itself provide a window into this changing story.
Visitors will learn about the architecture, layout and day-to-day operation of 140 Pembroke Road, including how a contemporary workplace has been integrated into the existing building.
The tour also introduces the story of Bord Bia, which moved to 140 Pembroke Road in 2022, and its role in supporting Ireland’s food, drink and horticulture sector internationally. The experience concludes with two interactive elements: a Q Mark tasting, offering a taste of Irish food, and the Bord Bia Brand Archive, showcasing the evolution of Irish food brands and packaging.
The tour brings together three strands: the history and architecture of Pembroke Road; an insight into the contemporary building; and the Bord Bia story and visitor experiences.
