This walk takes you from Ailesbury Park to Ranelagh Park pointing out many of the houses along the way, their original residents and developers and how the culvereting and diversion of the local river led to the demise of Donnybrook Fair and the creation of the suburb see today..Learn what became of the original Limestone quarry, the tram lines and the novel structural design of the bus garage and the hat makers of Donnybrook..Mention will be made of the Pembroke ,Cowper and De Moynes estates taking a route via Beaver Road , Sandford Road and passing the Royal Hospital to the once renowned Ranelagh pleasure garden that renamed a suburb.
The walk should could vary between 60 and 90 minutes.
