Tour Information +
Bonham Court is a 57 apartment development on Bonham Street. It marks a is a significant milestone in Dublin City Council’s delivery of social housing on a site that has been vacant for many years.
The tour will begin at the main entrance, adjacent Bridgefoot Street Park, to allow the front façade of the building to be viewed and its construction methodology explained. Bonham Court is one of the Council’s first multi-storey MMC (Modern Methods of Construction) projects and uses a range of innovative construction processes, prioritising off-site manufacturing.
The tour will then move into the communal landscaped courtyard which has extensive planting, outdoor furniture and areas for children to play and for neighbours to socialise. This courtyard will allow the viewing of external access decks which provide own-door access to all homes, all of which enjoy dual or triple aspect.
The tour will also examine the building’s connection with the adjacent, recently completed Bridgefoot Street Park. The award-winning park, designed by DFLA for DCC Parks, Biodiversity and Landscape Services Division, has significantly improved disability access to the project area and supports the principle of universal access for all.
