Join us for an exclusive look at Ireland’s newest world-class sporting facility as it takes shape – and hear first-hand how this landmark development is being delivered.

The National Velodrome and Badminton Centre (NVBC) at the Sport Ireland Campus in Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, will feature a 250-metre indoor cycling track and 12 international-standard badminton courts together with seating for up to 1,000 spectators.

Serving elite athletes and local communities alike the NVBC has been designed to cater to people of all ages and abilities; from young children taking their first steps into sport, to elite cyclists and badminton players competing at worlds and Olympic level.

The centre will act as a national hub for training, competition and talent development, supporting participation at grassroots level while also strengthening Ireland’s high-performance pathways.
Walls Construction is honoured to have been appointed by Sport Ireland as the Design & Build Contractor for the construction of this incredible facility and we are looking forward to starting an exciting new chapter in the story of Ireland’s sporting infrastructure.

The project team comprises Faulkner Brown as Architect for the Exemplar project and Scott Tallon Walker for the Design & Build (D&B) element. Arup is appointed as Structural and Services Engineer for the Exemplar, with DBFL and Hoare Lea respectively undertaking these roles for the D&B element. Cogent is acting as Project Manager, with Seamus Monaghan Partners appointed as Quantity Surveyor. Arup/OHAC are responsible for Fire and DAC services on the Exemplar, while ORS undertakes these services for the D&B element. Billings Design Associates is appointed as Façade Consultant for the D&B element.

There is a car park available on site and the nearest bus stop is  in front of our main entrance is the ‘Indoor Arena, stop 7334’ for busses of N4, 38, 38A, 236, 236T.

Visitors will arrive at the main site entrance and be directed to the designated meeting point. This tour will take place on a live construction site, and participants should be aware that the terrain may include uneven ground, loose surfaces, and other typical site conditions.

The tour route may involve walking over uneven surfaces and navigating steps. An introductory presentation will be held in a site meeting room; access to this room requires the use of steps, and step-free access is not available.

Participants should wear suitable sturdy footwear (Steel toe or safety boots/shoes if you have them) and exercise caution while moving around the site. Site safety instructions and any required personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided upon arrival.
