Seen – Unseen is an art project by Artist Clare McLaughlin exploring the non visual experience of Art & Culture. Participants will be invited to wear a blindfold during the 15 minute exploration. The non visual exploration will be slow paced , in small groups and will be guided at all times by Artist Clare McLaughlin.

About the facilitator

Clare Mc Laughlin is a Socially Engaged Visual Artist facilitating access to art for people with all abilities with a particular focus on access to art for the visually impaired person in the gallery space and elsewhere.

About the building

Built over almost 300 years and shaped by architects including Richard Cassels, J.F. Fuller and William Young, Iveagh House has been home to bishops, gentry and senior judicial officers before becoming a Guinness townhouse in the 1860s. In 1939, the second Earl of Iveagh handed the property to the Irish State for use by the Department of External Affairs. Today, Iveagh House is the headquarters of the Department of Foreign Affairs and one of Dublin’s most impressive historic buildings.
