Harcourt Terrace ETNS is a new 26-classroom primary school in Dublin. Making use of its leafy surroundings on the Grand Canal, circulation and common areas are activated to provide a range of new informal leaning and social spaces. Classes open to ’activity corridors’ for shared resources. The interlocked common areas have a robust, urban feel. The intention is to create an internal world for the children to learn and grow. Harcourt Terrace ETNS was the winning design in the RIAI Architectural Design Competition for an Urban School for the Department of Education in 2015.
