Imagine a city where nature is not separate from the buildings around us, but woven into every street, home, and shared space. In this welcoming family workshop, children and their families will explore how we can create places where people, plants, and animals can live and thrive together.

Through storytelling and illustration, we will ask: What does a bird need to feel safe? Where can insects rest and find food? How might our buildings care for nature and protect biodiversity?

Inspired by these ideas, families will use their imaginations to design playful hybrid homes for many different species. There are no right or wrong answers – just bring your curiosity and let your imagination run wild!

The workshop will be offered in Brazilian Portuguese and English, and speakers of all languages are warmly welcome.

This workshop is suitable for children aged 5-12.

Parents and guardians are invited to join in the fun and must stay with their children throughout the workshop.

Debora Adachi is an artist, architect and illustrator originally from Brazil, and now based in Ireland.

This is a temporary use space and does not have direct access to toilet and washroom facilities inside the space. Participants and visitors will have use of facilities in the local vicinity.
