Scott Tallon Walker (Retrofitted by Reddy A+U)

As part of The Park, designed by Scott Tallon Walker and landscape designer Charles Funke, Eastpoint P2 had remained unoccupied for a number of years and required extensive refurbishment. Its strategic location near Dublin’s city centre andDocklands made it an ideal candidate for retrofitting, reducing the environmental impact of new construction while contributing to Dublin City’s urban revitalisation.
The transformation of Eastpoint P2 by Reddy A+U, demonstrates how sustainable refurbishment can extend a building’s lifespan, enhance energy efficiency, and align with modern ESG standards. By prioritising reuse, smart design, and responsible urban development, Eastpoint P2 sets a new benchmark for sustainable office spaces, proving that revitalisation, rather than demolition, is the most responsible approach for future proofing building stock.

The tour will begin outside and will place the building in context with its surroundings. There will be display boards on the way in showing images before and after the refurbishment. This is a unique opportunity to explore a project that exemplifies how a full-scale retrofit should be done. As much as possible, the approach was to refurbish and repair rather than replace.
