This walk will take us briefly into Trinity College grounds and by way of Clare Street through Merrion Square, Upper Mount Street, Wilton Terrace, Leeson Street, Fitzwilliam Place, and finish at Merrion Square. During the walk, participants will learn how extending the Liffey Quays made way to the creation of Dublin’s famous Georgian houses, squares and parks, and left new elevated streets and altered canal tow paths, and how some Royal Canal bridges suffered with the arrival of the Tram.

Meeting point: Steps of St Anne’s Church, 18 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, D02 YV57
