From an iconic fire station built in the late 1800s to a repurposed hub of artistic production since 1991, Fire Station Artists’ Studios has lived many lives. Whether hosting firefighters’ families for most of the 20th century, providing shelter with the Simon Community in the 1980s, falling into dereliction, and then transforming into an artist live/work space, for the past 30+ years this building has played a pivotal role in Dublin’s north inner city for over a century.

FSAS invites visitors to explore the evolving history of this iconic building. Join us for guided tours led by former residents representing different chapters of the building’s past. Through their personal memories and stories, visitors will discover how the building has evolved over time while experiencing its present use as an artist production and living space in Dublin city centre.
