Tour Information +
Take a guided and unique talk with a member of the RCSI team to learn about the rich heritage and history of RCSI, how it has influenced healthcare worldwide, and the part it has played in shaping national history – including its seizure by rebels led by Michael Mallin and Countess Markievicz during the 1916 Easter Rising. The tours will feature Women on Walls at RCSI in partnership with Accenture, a series of portraits of pioneering historical female leaders in healthcare, as well as specially commissioned sculpture busts of Florence Nightingale and Elizabeth O’Farrell created by John Rainey in 2022. These two collections aim to enhance the visibility of historical female leaders to inspire future generations.
The event will be a self-guided tour, so guests can go at their own pace.
