Autumn is a magical and busy time in nature. There is just so much going on with birds, mammals and insects filling their bellies and stocking their larders with the rich bounty of fruit, nuts, and seeds lining the shelves of Mother Nature’s storeroom. Our eyes are treated to a riot of colour – red, yellow, orange and brown, and everything in between in a myriad of shades as leaves change colour and fall to the ground. In the bird world Ireland is like a travel brochure as autumn migration continues, our summer visitors like swallows heading to warmer climes while a whole host of visitors like winter geese are arriving to spend the winter here.

Join DLR Biodiversity for a scavenger hunt as we take a walk through the park and find/see as many of the natural wonders on our wild checklists as possible. Let’s see can we tick them all off!
