Based in the former Smurfit Kappa Ireland Printworks in Glasnevin, the 31,000-square-foot building has been reimagined as world leading transport and mobility training centre. The mission of the centre is to make transport accessible to all, by heling shape the future of accessible transport and inclusive design in the built environment. Dedicated to empowering people with disabilities to travel confidently and independently, The Wayfinding Centre also serves as a hub for training professionals including; transport operators, architects, designers, engineers, and students.
Housed in a 100-year-old building with a striking heritage façade, The Wayfinding Centre brings transport to life through a unique collection of real vehicles, including a
Luas carriage, DART carriage, double-decker bus, Expressway coach, accessible taxi, and a section of an Airbus. These are set within a purpose-built streetscape, complete with rough terrain, traffic lights, and an innovation space designed for research and testing. Join us for a 60 minute guided tour to explore the history of the building and discover how we are working to unlock mobility for all. We’ll meet at the front entrance before embarking on a journey through this immersive learning environment.
