Tour Information +
We invite young architects, artists and designers aged 8 to 12 years to join artist Jole Bortoli, Production Manager Mark Rooney and The Ark team for a tour of the building followed by a creative workshop where children will design their own building.
As The Ark celebrates its 30th birthday this year, the building that houses it celebrates 300 years! On the tour of the building, we will explore behind the scenes and some of the interesting features in this building designed specifically for children.
In the workshop, we will explore drawing and 3D construction. Have you got any original ideas for a new building that Dublin would be proud of? What would it look like? Who would live there? Where would it be placed? In this workshop you will have the opportunity to design and build a model building of your own.
