The tour will begin at the front reception, a starting point for all visitors to the station, including those requiring help or assistance as a result of being a victim of crime. It will then move through a security entrance into the ground floor corridor occupying the family room, used as a comfortable private space to meet with vulnerable victims/families/children, into an area which has more formal interview rooms, with CCTV recording facilities.

The tour will continue to the custody area, where prisoners are documented into custody record books and brought to the cells. The cell area will be included in this tour to show visitors where prisoners are detained, the design of the cell, with reinforced doors. The tour will then go to the first floor where visitors will be shown the radio room/CCTV room, where Gardaí in the station monitor CCTV camera’s on the streets and direct Policing resources to target different crime/anti social behaviour in the city centre. The tour will be shown display pieces in the conference room supplied by the Garda Museum, depicting An Garda Síochána through the years, showcasing the development of the organisation. The tour will finish in the station yard, where a display of current Garda vehicles will be on view for visitors.
