How can people become more involved in the decisions that inform the present and future of Dublin? Join us for a conversation on public engagement, participation and new ways to give people power to shape the built future.
Open Table 2025 empowers people to participate in expert-led discussions on the topics of Diaspora, Diversity, Design, Demolition and Democracy.
This Open Table will be hosted by Jane Suiter. Jane Suiter is Professor in the School of Communications and director of the Institute for Future Media, Democracy and Society at Dublin City University. Her research focus is on the information environment in the public sphere and in particular on scaling up deliberation and tackling disinformation. She has been involved in various research and oversight capacities on the Irish Citizens’ Assembly (2012-2022) ) and was a founder member of We the Citizens (2011), Ireland’s first deliberative experiment.
The Open Table series takes place at IAF House at Charlemont Square, Dublin 2. Places are limited so book early. Lunch will be provided.
Accessibility Information
Open Table events take place at IAF House, Charlemont Square, Dublin 2. This is a temporary use space and does not have direct access to toilet and washroom facilities inside the space. Participants and visitors have full use of toilets, including an accessible toilet, located in a separate adjoining building approximately 100 metres away in distance. The space and doorways open wide and the venue does not have any steps or stairs.
