A walking tour both east and west of O’Connell Street and towards the City Markets examining housing and green space, with an emphasis on social housing constructed in the twentieth and twenty-first century. The tour will reflect on the role of social and affordable housing in contributing to the vibrancy and viability of the city. It will also dwell oon the importance of the public realm and green infrastructure in the city’s sustainability. We will will visit six housing projects and six public spaces that have been regenerated or enhanced over recent years.
