Join a geologist and the dlr Heritage Officer to explore Blackrock Park from the ground up. Starting at the Booterstown end of the park adjacent to Booterstown Dart station we will explore the rock that gave Blackrock its name and see its influence on architectural features and the contemporary built landscape.
Walking on towards the Williamstown Martello Tower and historic seawalls, the tour will expand on the connections between bedrock, architecture, landscape and sea level along this stretch of the coastline.
The tour will end at the Blackrock Dart station.

Accessibility Information
This is an outdoor event in a public park, the route will follow a flat, hard-surfaced path.
Note that the tour is a wholly outdoor event and the Martello Tower interior is not currently safely accessible.
