Open House 2024 opens on the very same day as the 130^th anniversary of the death of John Loftus Robinson, Chairperson of the Kingstown Township Commissioners and architect responsible for designing the Town Hall, the spire of St. Michael’s Church, St. Michael’s Hospital, and landscaping the People’s Park.

This special family tour of Town Hall will commemorate and celebrate the outstanding achievements of John Loftus Robinson, who contributed so much to the architecture and streetscape of Dún Laoghaire, defining the skyline of what is in Samuel Beckett’s words “a little kindergarten of steeples.”

Meeting point: Town Hall arched entrance on Marine Road opposite Viking Marine Supplies shop.
