  • Talks & Conversations

As part of Open House Dublin 2026’s theme, “Dublin Is Living,” O’Connell Street Cultures invites you to an intimate conversation about the street at the heart of our capital city. Culture is often defined as “the stories we tell ourselves about ourselves.” In this special event, we gather to untangle and share some of those stories.

O’Connell Street is more than just a place to pass through; it is a living, breathing archive of Irish history, a mirror of our complex present, and the canvas for our shared future. This conversation explores the diverse human experiences, evolving communities, and cultural identities that anchor the street today. Together, we will dissect its historical weight, confront its modern realities, and collectively imagine what its future stories should be. Join us to listen, speak, and connect with the living pulse of Dublin’s main street.
