Future Heritage: Building Communities That Stand the Test of Time

At Conack, we believe that the most enduring legacies are those that balance innovation, sustainability, and a deep respect for place. As Ireland faces urgent housing and climate challenges, we see an opportunity—and a responsibility—to create buildings and neighbourhoods that will be valued by future generations.

This vision is embodied in our work at Cherrywood, South Dublin, where The Barrington Building and TC1 form part of Ireland’s largest urban development. Designed to BREEAM standards and as the country’s first WELL Community, these projects set new benchmarks for healthy, sustainable living. High-performance envelopes, green roofs, solar panels, and low-emission materials are just some of the strategies we employ to reduce environmental impact while enhancing residents’ well-being. Prefabricated elements, such as bathroom pods, not only minimise waste but also ensure exceptional build quality that will stand the test of time.

Equally important is how these places connect people to nature and each other. Residents enjoy immediate access to the Dublin and Wicklow Mountains—home to the scenic Ticknock Forest and Three Rock Mountain—creating daily opportunities for recreation and reflection. At the same time, thoughtfully designed public spaces, walking and cycling routes, and community amenities foster inclusion and social interaction. By integrating schools, healthcare facilities, and diverse retail, these developments reduce reliance on cars and strengthen local economies.

Technology has played a crucial role in shaping this future heritage. Our use of BIM and advanced project management platforms ensures every project is documented, traceable, and efficient from design through to handover and beyond. This digital backbone supports Conack’s wider commitment to transparency, quality, and lifecycle stewardship.

Looking forward, we are continuing to invest in modern methods of construction, renewable energy solutions, and carbon reduction initiatives across our portfolio. From modular schools and healthcare facilities to ambitious residential projects, our approach is always guided by a simple question: how will this place enrich people’s lives in 50 or 100 years?

By combining innovative construction practices, environmental leadership, and a profound commitment to community, Conack aims to build spaces that not only meet the demands of today but also become the heritage of tomorrow. In doing so, we are proud to help shape a built environment where future generations will thrive.
