Tour Information +
For Open House Dublin, Blue Drum brings its ongoing Soundings research to Loughlinstown, exploring how communities shape, experience and care for the places they call home. Marking 50 years of Loughlinstown, this family-friendly programme combines a walking tour, local stories, audio recordings and the Loughlinstown Digital Map to explore the relationship between its original design and how the landscape is lived in today.
At the heart of Soundings is a simple idea: you can’t understand a place by looking at it alone you have to spend time in it, listen to its stories and share your own. Families will be invited to create their own flag for Loughlinstown, inspired by what they see and discover on the walk. These drawings will help inform a new flag design for the community’s 50th anniversary in 2027, making participants part of the story of Loughlinstown’s future.
Please dress for the weather, including the possibility of rain.
