The tour will begin at the Box Office area of the building before proceeding to the front of house area. From there, the tour will move to the main auditorium of the Gate. The tour will then move through one of the Gate’s scene docks before attendees have an opportunity to step onto the iconic Gate stage. From there, the tour will move into the backstage areas, including backstage, the actors’ green room, and the hospitality room.

Finally, the tour will finish in the New Wing of the building which features a reception area and the Gate’s new Community Engagement Space

Due to the historic nature of the building, we regret that the tour is not suitable for wheelchair users or those with reduced mobility.

There are a number of staircases and narrow passageways on the tour which are unable to accommodate wheelchair users and may prove challenging to those with reduced mobility.

Limited on-street parking is available on Parnell Square West (near the entrance to the Rotunda) and Parnell Square North (near the entrance to the Hugh Lane Gallery). Nearby car parks include the Q-Park on Marlborough Street and the Ilac Centre car park. Patrons should check the opening times of the car park before travelling.
