Visitor Services Team:
Our dedicated Visitor Services Team strive to make your visit as enjoyable as possible. If you have any access needs or concerns, feel free to reach out in advance of your visit. On arrival, the team will welcome you and be there to help throughout your visit. In the event of an emergency, the team is trained to assist visitors with additional needs.

Accessibility Mobility Access:
There is a drop-off point outside the entrance to the Museum. Entry is via the café at the rear of the building. The ground floor is fully accessible but regrettably the mezzanine level, which houses the temporary exhibition space and Creative Corner, is not accessible. Fold-out chairs are available on request.

Visual Access:
Assistance dogs are welcome. Large-print booklets are available for the main exhibition and can be found on the right-hand side as you enter.

Sensory Access:
During demonstration times, the machines can be noisy. The team is autism aware and JAM card trained. The team offers hands-on assistance throughout your visit. If you’d prefer a more independent experience, that’s fine – just let us know, and we will respect your space.

Families:
The Museum is proudly a family-friendly site and has signed up to the Kids in Museums manifesto. Buggies (strollers) can enter via the café and can be used on the ground floor. There is no dedicated buggy storage. The Creative Corner is a quiet and dimly-lit space for families to relax and create and is also a comfortable spot for breastfeeding. Baby changing facilities are in the toilet.

Toilet Facilities:
All toilet facilities are on the ground floor. The Museum has single-use, gender-neutral toilets. One toilet is universally accessible and has a baby changing table.
