Join DCC City Architects and Áit Urbanism & Landscape for a guided tour of Weaver Park and the Weaver Place & Poplin Place residential development, located in the heart of the Liberties.

Designed by Áit Urbanism & Landscape for DCC Parks, Biodiversity and Landscape Services Division, the award-winning Weaver Park is a major public park that has transformed this part of Dublin and acts as an important resource for local residents, other citizens and tourists.

Designed by Levitt Bernstein Architects with ABK Architects for DCC Housing & Community Services, the 55-apartment development of Weaver Place and Poplin Place is arranged across two blocks that frame two sides of the Park. This residential development is one of DCC’s first multi-storey MMC (Modern Methods of Construction) projects, making use of off-site manufacturing, and achieved Home Performance Index (HPI) certification, demonstrating the sustainability of these new homes.
The park and the residential development have had a significant impact in the regeneration of this urban site and provide high quality amenity space and homes in this part of the city.

The tour will begin in Weaver Park. During the tour, we will provide you with an overview of the site’s history and the design of the Park. The tour will also provide an overview of the architectural design and the off-site construction system used for the apartment development. The tour will also provide the opportunity to view one of the communal landscaped courtyards which has been designed as an inviting communal space for residents to enjoy.

Please note tour at 3pm will be delivered in English and tour at 4pm will be delivered in Irish / as Gaeilge
