SDCC’s newly completed Tymon Park Intergenerational Centre provides a multi-functional community space and café with associated public facilities for the Templeogue area. Growing out of the existing stone walls and around the existing trees, the building closely engages with the lake through its full-length glazed façade and extensive south facing terraces. The cafe creates new opportunities for the public to meet, enjoy a cup of coffee, and observe the wildlife around the beautifully landscaped bio-retention area which manages surface water from the scheme. The project is designed to integrate with and highlight the adjoining Tymon Park, and promises to be a valuable addition to the amenities within.
