Iveagh Markets: Past, Present and Future Heritage
Tailors Hall, Back Lane, The Liberties, Dublin 8, D08 X2A3
Tour type
- Open House Extra
Tour Information +
Join Friends of the Iveagh Markets at 2 o’clock in the historic Tailor’s Hall for an exhibition of unique and evocative photographs that give an insight into the Markets in its heyday.
At 3pm some of the original market traders and people who were their customers will share memories. If we’re in luck, there may also be a song or two.
The event will be a rare and quite exceptional opportunity to hear firsthand about the day-to-day life of the markets and the people who worked and shopped there.
It will also be a chance to hear more about the work, already begun, that will bring this magnificent building back from the brink and restore it to its former glory.
