As part of Open House Dublin the National Library of Ireland will be welcoming visitors to our beautiful Victorian building on Kildare Street and to visit the Reading Room which will be open especially for the festival.

Wander in through the entrance hall across the mosaic tiled floor while taking time to view the the stained glass windows each of which depicts a very Victorian take on world literature. The magnificent Reading Room awaits you at top of the staircase and you are free to follow in the footsteps of some of Ireland’s greatest writers and thinkers.

The award winning exhibition Yeats: The Life and Works of WB Yeats will also be open for visitors to enjoy.

Please note this is not a guided tour. Visitors may drop-in at any time and NLI staff will be on hand to answer any questions visitors might have.

The National Library and Reading Room is wheelchair accessible and there is an accessible lift to the Reading Room. Accessible toilets are on site and assistance Dogs welcome.
