Join children’s author and illustrator Margaret Anne Suggs for her ‘Home is Where the Heart is’ creative workshop in Rush Library. Children will make their own paper birdhouses based on their ideas of home.
The word ‘home’ conjures thoughts of comfort and familiarity, and ‘home’ can extend to include a village and a community. The birdhouse relates to ideas of migration, duality of belonging, and the sometimes ephemeral nature of a home.
Rush Library is located in a beautiful refurbished church.
