Open House 2025 guests will start their experience indoors with an introduction to the Photographer’s Darkroom in the subterranean level at Photo Museum Ireland in Temple Bar, followed by a Steve Pyke exhibition and building tour. We will then venture outdoors for a pinhole photography workshop to create a portrait of a famous building at its Dublin 1 location. Participants will learn how to set up their pinhole camera (provided) for image capture, then return to the photographer’s darkroom to develop their captured image. A digital scan of each negative will then be produced in the Artist Digital Suite at Photo Museum Ireland to reveal the positive image in digital form, where it will be shared via email with participants for social sharing under the tags #openhouse2025 #photomuseumireland.

Steve Pyke exhibition at Photo Museum Ireland:

Acclaimed photographer Steve Pyke’s landmark series of literary portraits has created a definitive visual survey of leading contemporary Irish writers, playwrights and poets.
