The Douglas Hyde Gallery is a contemporary art gallery situated in the heart of Dublin city in Trinity College. Founded by the Arts Council and Trinity College Dublin in 1978, the gallery was designed by Paul Koralek of ABK Architects and contains two main exhibition spaces: the cavernous, double height Gallery 1, which is approached down a cantilevered staircase, and the award-winning Gallery 2, which was designed by McCullough Mulvin Architects, and opened in 2001.
