Tour Information +
St Mary’s Church of Ireland, designed by John Semple was constructed in 1827. Addition of transepts, chancel and robing room in 1860 by Joseph Welland. The building was in use by the local parish for nearly 200 years before it was deconsecrated in 2020.
The Royal Dublin Society (RDS) bought the church at this time to bring it within their campus grounds. RKD as the lead architects were brought in to lead on structural repair works, refurbishment, and addition of WCs within the fabric of the Church to convert it into a more contemporary event space.
The tour will begin in the grounds of St Mary’s Church before being brought through the Nave and Transept of the Church.
