This is a very special tour of the Poolbeg light house which opened in 1767 and is normally closed to the public.  180,000 people a year visit the South Wall to walk to the Lighthouse which Dublin Port Company has responsibility for.  This small group tour will give you a chance to see inside one of Dublin’s most important Georgian structures.

Important Tour Information

This tour is strictly 18+.

Location: To take part in this tour you will need to travel by car to the Great South Wall parking at Pigeon House Road, park your car and head for the start of the wall on foot. The walk to the Lighthouse is straightforward and offers incredible views of the coast but can be windy so it’s important to dress appropriately. The walk takes approx 30mins to reach the Lighthouse so please allow enough time to complete the walk and arrive on time for your tour.

Requirements: The lighthouse is a confined space and you will be at heights. You must be in good health to take this tour. You must wear good boots and wet gear and safety equipment will be provided by your guides.
