Photoclub Workshop with Photo Museum Ireland and Shane Lynam
Photo Museum Ireland, Meeting House Square, Temple Bar, Dublin 2
Welcome to our exciting workshop, where you’ll explore the world of architecture and design through the art of photo collage! This special session will take inspiration from the captivating images of Shane Lynam’s Pebbledash Wonderland. Using his work as a springboard, you’ll become a young architect, using pictures and various materials from magazines, newspapers, books, and even your own photos to create innovative structures and spaces.
Learn About Photo Collages:
We’ll begin with a guided tour of Pebbledash Wonderland by Shane Lynam himself. He will share insights into his artistic process and how he captures everyday suburban landscapes. You’ll learn how artists & designers use collages to visualise, and communicate their ideas through the photo collage. You’ll discover how combining different images and materials can help imagine new buildings, environments, and cityscapes – creating your own micro-world.
Design Your Own Photo Collages:
Inspired by Shane’s photography, you’ll select images and elements to construct your own imaginative structures and landscapes. Think like an architect and engineer as you mix and match materials to create something new and innovative, bridging the gap between art and architecture. We’ll show you how to mix and match these images to create something completely new and awesome, just like famous artists do.
