Ordinary Extraordinary: Drawing workshop with IMMA
The Royal Hospital Kilmainham, Military Road, Saint James' (part of Phoenix Park), Dublin 8
Tour Dates & Times
- Saturday 15 October:
- 11am – 1pm
- 2pm – 4pm

Join Bryan Hogan from IMMA’s visitor engagement team, in this studio-based, drawing-centred workshop. Discover the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA) through the lens of the ‘Ordinary Extraordinary’. Explore the architecture, art, and nature on the grounds of the Royal Hospital Kilmainham, the home of IMMA. Create drawings of architecture, focusing on the ordinary to reveal the extraordinary. As our world changes around us, our architecture adapts and changes to accommodate new priorities and functions. This was the case for the Royal Hospital Kilmainham, originally built as a retirement home for soldiers but now housing IMMA, our national museum for Modern and Contemporary Art.
The workshop is free, and materials included, but it must be booked in advance.
