Join us for a fun and interactive art / architecture workshop to reimagine Dublin’s neighbourhoods surrounding the National Museum of Ireland – Decorative Arts and History, Collins Barracks, Dublin 7. In this family workshop you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Engage in family learning – parents / guardians and children can enjoy creative time together!
  • Explore and discuss ideas about the places where we live, work, and play.

Using cardboard boxes, scissors, pencils, rulers and paints, you’ll create your own miniature buildings and place them on a map. There will be plenty of materials available to decorate your buildings as you wish!

The end result will be a reimagined neighbourhood created by you and your fellow participants. Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity to let your creativity run wild and make your mark on the community!

This workshop event is run by the Irish Architecture Foundation, with thanks to the National Museum of Ireland for venue support. It will be facilitated by Débora Adachi, a Brazilian-Japanese Dublin-based Illustrator. After originally graduating as an architect, she now blends her design and technical skills with her passion for visual storytelling. Débora is a Pathways into Children’s Publishing 2022-2024 mentee, and a FAB Prize 22 Highly Commended Illustration Winner.

This tour is pre-book only and booking opens on 14 September. Parents / guardians must attend with their children. Please book a space for each individual attending. This workshop is open to all ages but is most suitable for families with children aged 5-12.
