Join Architect Tadhg Charles for the Making Through Words workshop. It involves a story telling aspect that helps participants reflect on their own relationship with built infrastructure. It starts with descriptions and readings relating to famous buildings mostly of a historical context. These are then shown in images and videos. Participants will discuss the relationship between the descriptions they have heard and what they have seen to explore the subjectiveness of interpretation. The participants then write a description of a space they feel they understand and can communicate. This is handed to the person next to them who then tries to draw their interpretation of it followed by a group discussion. The idea of the workshop is that space making is fundamentally a communicative act that relies on the linguistic and narrative abilities of those involved.

Pre Book only. Places are limited so book early!
