Led by a staff member for Kilmainham Gaol Museum, this walking tour will visit the sites of former 18th and 19th century prisons in the south inner city. These include the location the Four Courts Marshalsea debtors’ prison, the notorious Black Dog Prison and the site where Newgate Gaol, Dublin’s earliest prison, once stood.

Please note there is also a separate tour looking at former prisons north of the Liffey.
