Join visual artist Mary Burke for a presentation on a selection of her recent projects and discussion of how architecture, and in particular the architecture of the home, has informed her work. Mary was recently awarded a studio for one year at the DLR Baths along with a public art commission funded by the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage under Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council’s Public Art Programme. The theme for this commission is HOME and Mary will be making paintings of the homes of eight residents in Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown. The completed works will be presented to the participating residents on conclusion of this project in 2024.
The presentation will be held in the Project Room in dlr LexIcon. Doors open to attendees from 2.45pm.
