Tour Information +
Harcourt Terrace Educate Together is a new 26-classroom primary school commissioned following the Department of Education and Skills / RIAI open architectural competition to design a new model for urban primary schools and learning spaces in Ireland in the 21st Century. It seeks to create a series of interconnected spaces that support informal learning, socialising and teaching opportunities, and to carefully integrate this large building into this very sensitive location. The tour will begin at the main entrance on Harcourt Terrace, moving into the entrance ‘street’ that connects the public elements of the building; the lower ground floor basement, entrance and first floor library space. Afterwards the tour will move through the assisted learning unit, rooftop play spaces, and to the mainstream classrooms which are grouped in 3 with a shared ‘activity corridor’ for informal learning.
Pre-book only
