Plus Architecture

Join Plus Architecture on a guided tour of Hamilton Gardens, a residential-led masterplan for a community of485 new homes in Cabra, a central and established suburb in North Dublin City.

The development is planned around a parkland of new public and shared resident’s garden spaces. In theme, these spaces all reference the acclaimed local mathematician, Sir Rowan Hamilton, founder of quaternions and author of Hamilton’s Principle.

Included within the masterplan is a new 25,000sqft retail supermarket and ancillary local retail and food and beverage services. The Hamilton Gardens masterplan provides for:

  • New public places and spaces, including Observatory Square, an active community hub of ball courts, playgrounds, games & fitness areas and active frontage uses. Rowan Place is a second public space, with public art, cafes, lawn and market square.
  • A new cycle paths connects the hither-too unconnected northern and southern areas of the site, encouraging permeability, passive surveillance and wider community inclusion.
  • The implementation of a planting scheme over 400 new trees, predominantly native species, including Avenue planting to Hamilton Walk.
  • Secure Resident Garden spaces, including Poetry Place and Dominick Square.
  • All public space is framed in high quality, durable and natural materials, such as clay brick of differing tones and Natural granite paving.

This tour is pre-book only.
