Grand Canal Dock Boat Tour

This 45 minute circumnavigation of the 25 acre GCD site will be lead by a member of the Inland Waterways Association. In the course of the tour, participants will be introduced to the history and the architecture of this extraordinary facility in the heart of Dublin Docklands which dates from 1796. The dock and its associated facilities represented the culmination of the hugely ambitious Irish canals project , delivered over many decades, and regarded as one of the great achievements of the 'Patriot Parliament'.
