Originally designed by Dublin City Council architect, Charles J. McCarthy, Dublin City Library & Archive have been providing a library and cultural service to the public since 1909. The building was renovated by DCC Architects in 2000 with an extension for storage of collections. It comprises of a lending library , exhibition space, conference room, reading room , storage rooms, and offices. Library staff will take you through the history of the building giving you a glimpse of some of the interiors not usually on view.
