The State Apartments at Dublin Castle are a series of eighteenth and nineteenth century rooms that served as the palace of the Viceroy of Ireland until Irish independence in 1922. Today, they are used by the Government of Ireland for important state events and are a major cultural attraction in the heart of the city of Dublin.
