The Alliance Française Dublin’s building at 1 Kildare Street, formerly Kildare Street Club, was inaugurated in 1974 by the then French Prime Minister Jacques Chirac. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of its installation in the iconic listed building, Alliance Française is organising a full morning of festivities and family friendly event. Children will discover the architectural heritage of the listed building and  learn about the carved plants and animals that adorn both its interiors and exteriors. Other enjoyable activities will also be organised for at The French Library.

From 1.30pm, the afternoon will be devoted to a series of talks with historians and experts, and behind-the-scene guided tours with architects.

Self-guided tour for children accompanied by their parents.

Time: 10.30am to 12.30pm

Most suitable for kids from 7 to 13 years old.

The main entrance of the building has steps and stairs to go to the different floors.
A lift is also available to reach the floors.
