The project consists of two buildings, a new five-storey over basement mixed-used building at Nos.49&50 containing two commercial units and 7no. apartments; and a renovated Georgian building (protected structure) at No.51 accommodating 4no. apartments all at a city centre site that had long been derelict.

The new-build is formed around a three-storey atrium behind the façade of No.50 where the tour will start with a brief recent history of the site and an outline of the design intent. The tour will then move into the entrance hall and circulation core and onto a selection of the apartments* over ground including the fourth floor of the duplex penthouse apartment with sweeping view over the city skyline. The new-build tour will finish in the basement apartment* which includes the retained original coal store brick vaults uncovered in the construction process.

The two buildings share a communal courtyard to the rear which will be walked through before proceeding into the protected structure where the tour will finish.

Most of the tour will be accessible centering around the new-build and rear courtyard. The new-build is generally accessible with a lift serving up to third floor level; the fourth floor (upper level of the duplex unit) is reached via a stairs (16 steps). The protected structure has wheelchair access from the font to the ground floor only.
