The Daintree Building is an award-winning mixed-use complex comprising of apartments, offices, studios and a café. The ambition of the Daintree building is to marry a sustainable agenda with a strong urban architectural presence and memorable spaces. It’s design favours sustainable materials including a multi-storey timber frame structure, green roofs, solar panels, a geothermal heat pump and breathing timber walls with sheep’s wool insulation. Rainwater is reused in the building and all finishes are organic. The apartments within the complex are all low energy design. The Daintree Building also houses the award winning Cake café, specialising in local and organic food.
