Step inside six of the barges stationed in the Grand Canal Dock to see what life is like on the water. Boats available to visit are The Adriana, a Dutch barge built in Holland in 1898 as a working boat and converted into a liveaboard leisure craft in the 1980’s; The Canal Boat Restaurant, a canal barge built along the lines of Guinness Barges and fitted up as a fully battery powered restaurant; The Stil Mor Houseboat, a widebeam narrow boat barge; and The Endeavour, a sensitively restored, beautiful narrow canal barge; the Sunny Barger a refurbished barge that you can spend the night on and the Massage Barge that offers Thai massages in a unique environment.

First-come basis: Just turn up and look out for Open House Dublin volunteers. Given the space and weight restrictions of the houseboats, small groups of 2-3 people will be allowed into each houseboat for 5 minutes at a time. Each houseboat will be marked with our Open House Dublin balloons and our friendly volunteers will be on site to help.
